I recently found a blogpost talking about javascript prototypes in a very funny and uncommon way. It was funny to read, easy to follow, and high on insights. I'm working my way through Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs (SICP), and The Little Schemer books, so I'm learning Scheme and Lisp too. It's a private event space over on capital hill in seattle. I just finished The Little Schemer. The little schemer was also setting up meetings with the crew over at sole repair shop. To try out the examples from The Little Schemer, you must first download1 PLT-Scheme. A few of the more notable names in attendance were Rich Hickey himself; Daniel P. This will install DrScheme, which is the IDE you will use to type in the Scheme examples. Question: I think `eqlist?' is horrible, because I can easily write `equal?' without this.
